The largest annual cardiology event in Belgium, the BSC Congress, will take place on 9 and 10 February 2023. It will be an in-person event at Brussels EXPO, with all the necessary measures for a safe meeting environment in place.
The BSC Congress brings together the entire cardiology community, with active participation from Belgian Cardiology Working groups and councils.
It offers a series of diverse continuing accredited educational sessions, with an extensive overview of the latest developments in cardiovascular medicine. The BSC Working Groups play an important role and the programme activities shall be led by experts and distinguished speakers from local and different leading institutions worldwide. There will be some key Industry supported satellite symposia. An accreditated radiation session, a joint BSC-ESC session are again part of the programme and research will be showcased also through the best abstract presentations. The award cermony will celebrate the young investigators and Belgian Heart Foundation laureates and the best abstracts.
The BWGHF will provide a session on Thursday 9 february that will discuss the latest ESC guidelines for Heart Failure. Under the moderatorship of Anne-Catherine Pouleur and Walter Droogne, heart failure expert John Mc Murray kicks off this session in which he explains the treatment of chronic heart failure. Jean-Luc Vachiery then clarifies the acute heart failure section. Matthias Dupont provides an update on devices and comorbidities in heart failure. Finally, Jeroen Dauw concludes with a presentation of his abstract.
